Our Preschool implements the NZ Early Childhood Education Curriculum (Te Whariki) for our childcare programme. Our New Zealand preschool education includes Art, Music, Reading, Science, Play Dough and Blocks areas, Pretend Play, Sand and Water Play, and a Physical Environment Area. The Preschool adult to child ratio is 1:8.
We believe that sleep time needs to be a positive experience for children. Our Preschool teachers will respond to a child's individual rhythm after consultation with the parents. Appropriate individual needs will be endorsed and recognised. To settle new children into our Auckland Preschool we believe in unhurried, individualised routines, and encourage quality dialogue on a daily basis between families and Apple Tree Preschool caregiver teachers.
